ULAA Men Crush Monday (MCM) – Featuring Joseph Sawo and Bookman Muapoe

Today on ULAA “Men Crush Monday” (MCM), we are highlighting two amazing Liberian men: Mr. Joseph Sawo and Mr. Bookman Muapoe.

1. Joseph Sawo is a Liberian entrepreneur, consultant, and an advocate for All Things Liberia, with a focus on empowering the Liberian youth. He has dedicated his time to advocating for education and entrepreneurship resources for Liberians in Liberia and in the diaspora. 

Joe, as he is affectionately called by family and friends, continued his service in the community by serving in the United States Air Force. Moreover, he worked as the Director for Education Services for Libraries for Liberia Foundation where he led the efforts of shipping over 15,000 books to Liberia in partnerships with the United States Department of Defense, The Liberian Girls Guides association, and the Liberian Vice President office. 2. Bookman Muapoe is a Liberian Media Personality and philanthropist who has used his platform to promote Liberian businesses entertainment, culture, fashion, and more. 

As a writer/ content creator, Bookman has taken the initiative to partner with KMTV Liberia to produce a documentary film on a nine (9) year old ballet dancer, Nanayaa S. Asare. He has also enrolled her into a professional dance school.

Besides promoting Liberian businesses and entertainment, Bookman has donated thousand of dollars for tuition payments for students and several other causes in Liberia.

In 2021, Bookman announced he is working to build the first ever State of the Art Multimedia Facility in his hometown, Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia, West Africa.
