The President of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), Hon. J. Shiwoh Kamara, has extended a sincere invitation to all members of the National Leadership Council and National Board of Directors of ULAA for an urgent joint meeting.
In light of the disruption of the ULAA 49th General Assembly and the subsequent postponement of the 2023 elections, President Kamara aims to gather all organs of the union to discuss critical matters concerning the future of ULAA. The joint meeting is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 8:00 pm EST. conducted via the Zoom Communications Network.
The agenda for the meeting includes:
1. Postponement of the 2023 Elections and the Way Forward:Participants will collaboratively brainstorm and identify strategies to ensure the smooth and successful holding of elections, addressing the challenges faced during the General Assembly.
2. Other Matters Related to the Union: The meeting provides an opportunity to address additional concerns or initiatives vital to ULAA’s sustainability and stability.
In his invitation letter, President Kamara expressed his sincere apologies to all chapter leaders and delegates who had traveled from across the country with the hope of participating in the 2023 elections. He emphasized the importance of collective wisdom and guidance to strengthen the union.
