
Today on ULAA Spotlight, we are highlighting Ms. Lisa M. Daisy.
She is a Liberian journalist and women’s advocate. Lisa is a young vibrant woman who has dedicated her career to reporting stories that highlight women empowerment and equal opportunity for women in leadership and political space.
In 2021, she launched the WOMEN-TV Liberia, an online news media platform to ensure equal voices for women and marginalized groups in the society.
Lisa has over 10years experience in Journalism, Leadership and Media Development. Due to her innate desire to support the Achievement of the SDGs, specifically goal 5, Gender Equality, she launched the WOMEN TV-LIBERIA to bridge the gender gap and to disseminate information.
Moreover , she has an entrenched interest in supporting goals 4, and 13 which surround Education (Quality) and Climate Change.
Ms. Diasay is of the belief that a secure Environment supports the advancement of women , children and vulnerable populations.
Lisa is a young woman who believes in the advocacy of women Political Participation and leadership to ensure good Governance and equal space.
She is a part of many civil rights and advocacy groups across Liberia and other places, namely: Women Human Rights Defenders Liberia (WHRDL), Liberia Health and Rights Network, Female Journalists Association of Liberia (FeJAL), Press Union of Liberia (PUL).
Lisa has practically ensured sustained advocacy for people living with HIV in Liberia and the minority population through her role as an activist at the Liberia Health and Rights Network. Similarly, it applies her role as mentor of young women at the young women initiative for progress and development, to enable them project themselves in a positive way!
